State College Cruises Past Altoona in Season Opener
State College (PA) kicked off its 2025 season with a dominant 41-7 home victory over Altoona, showcasing a well-rounded performance on both sides of the ball. The win improves State College’s record to 1-0, while Altoona falls to 0-1 on the young season.

State College steadily built momentum throughout the game, outscoring Altoona in every quarter after the opening frame. The Bulldogs tallied 6 points in the first quarter, 11 in the second, 17 in the third, and sealed the game with 7 in the final quarter. Altoona managed only a 7-point burst in the first quarter, failing to score for the remainder of the contest.

State College’s offense amassed 473 total yards, more than double Altoona’s 174. The Bulldogs rushed for 305 yards and passed for 168, while Altoona gained just 114 yards on the ground and 60 through the air. Altoona’s offense was paced by quarterback Parker White, who totaled 101 yards of offense (60 passing) and a team-leading 52 rushing yards from Luke Geishauser. Linebacker Logan Wukovich led the Altoona defense with 11 tackles.
