Wachusett Regional Hosts Leicester in Saturday Night Football Clash

HOLDEN, Mass. — Saturday night football comes to Holden as Wachusett Regional opens its 2025 season with a non-conference matchup against Leicester. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. at Wachusett Regional High School.

The Mountaineers enter the season ranked No. 59 in Massachusetts and No. 16 in their division, while Leicester begins the year at No. 225 in the state and No. 20 in its division. Both teams are looking to set the tone early as they take the field for the first time this fall.

Wachusett, traditionally a strong Central Massachusetts program, will try to use its size and depth to control the pace at home. Leicester, meanwhile, will look to pull off an early-season upset and gain momentum heading into the rest of its schedule.
