Mill Creek, Norcross Set for Early-Season Clash Under the Lights

HOSCHTON, Ga. — Mill Creek and Norcross will square off Friday night in a non-conference showdown featuring two Gwinnett County programs looking to stay unbeaten. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Mill Creek High School.

Mill Creek (1-0), ranked No. 103 nationally and No. 17 in Georgia, opened the season with a strong 30-16 victory. The Hawks jumped out to an early lead, scoring 14 points in the first quarter, and never looked back, showing off a balanced attack that put points on the board in every period.

Norcross (1-0), ranked No. 389 nationally and No. 41 in Georgia, leaned on its defense to grind out a 16-12 win in its opener. The Blue Devils found their rhythm in the second and third quarters but will need to find more offensive consistency to keep pace with Mill Creek’s fast starts.

Both teams enter Friday’s matchup with momentum, and with each eager to remain perfect on the season, the stage is set for a competitive battle under the lights in Hoschton.
